Chandelier Installation Tips

Some do's and don'ts of chandelier installation...

We hope that you will get many years enjoyment from your Irish crystal chandelier, however, before you begin to unpack it, here are a few simple guidelines for unpacking, hanging, maintenance and cleaning.

Unpacking

  • Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for unpacking your chandelier.
  • Never attempt to lift or remove your chandelier from its packaging by one or more of its arms - the arm(s) will snap off.

Hanging

  • Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for hanging your chandelier and connecting it to the electricity supply.
  • Prior to installation, you will need to purchase a chandelier hook from your local hardware shop, fix it to the hanging surface, ensure that the chandelier hook is fixed and secured properly to the hanging surface, e.g. ceiling or beam, and verify that the hanging surface is capable of supporting the hanging weight of the chandelier.
  • Unless you are a fully qualified electrician, do not attempt to connect the chandleier to the the electricity supply. Always have a fully qualified electrician do this work.
  • Never attempt to lift or move your chandelier by one or more of its arms - the arm(s) will snap off.

Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning and maintaining your chandelier.
  • Never attempt to lift or move your chandelier by one or more of its arms - the arm(s) will snap off.
